In August of this year, our Executive Director was invited back to Patrick SFB in Florida to present the ICISF’s course, Assisting Individuals in Crisis program to another group of individuals from the Space Force military branch. In August 2022, he presented this course as a pilot program for them as a tool to manage critical incidents that they may encounter. It was an extreme honor to be requested back to train others members of the force in this model.
In recent years the Space Force has gained more recognition for their work. A highly technical mission, these military and civilian personnel provide a global resource to help maintain a safe and peaceful world for us to live in. Their dedication to their mission shows in the commitment to quality in the work that they do.
It is a great honor to have been asked to support this organization. As noted the first time our Director was there, the diverse careers within the Space Force can carry an extreme amount of stress associated with the work done. The tools shared in this course helps participants with not only developing crisis intervention and Peer Support skills, but also tools ot enhance well-being and resiliency.
Being able to support and assist our military personnel has always been a primary mission here at NPSS. It is essential to support those who serve to protect us. To learn more about this military branch please click on the following link:
