New members of the Fraternal Order of Firefighter Military Veterans completed a seven-day training series this Fall to prepare them to provide Peer Support in their organizations. Training included CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) classes on: Individual/Peer Support, Group Interventions, Suicide Prevention, and Battlefield to Street (a military-specific training program). This group is focused on providing support to firefighters and veterans in the areas of PTSD, stress management, suicide, and addictions.
Congratulations to all who participated, took the training seriously, and already have put their new skills to work. It is our honor to be the training arm for this group. To learn more about this organization, please visit their website at: https://www.foffmv.org/
