In April, NPSS’ Executive Director (a corporate trainer for Dive Rescue International) worked with Black Laser Learning to provide Hummingbird training through Dive Rescue International. Audience members included public safety agencies from local and county agencies from multiple states with a wide variety of skill sets. Knowing when and how to use SONAR devices such as the Humminbird series can greatly enhance the success of a water-based operation.
The class attendees worked hard at developing their underwater target detection and interpretation skills. Multiple devices and targets, along with various watercraft, were used by the groups to enhance their versatility. Certificates of Completion were issued by Dive Rescue International.
