This month NPSS had the privilege of presenting at the SEIU Local 888 conference in Braintree Massachusetts. The presentation entitled, “Critical Incident Stress Management: Resources for You”, was designed to allow attendees to have an oversight of trauma and the potential impact on their personal and professional lives, stress indicators, and resources to deal with these impacts. The presentation included both in-person and virtual attendees.
The group represents over 75,000 members in Massachusetts from a wide range various professions, including but not limited to education workers, telecommunication personnel, healthcare-related workers, and others. Caring for their members is a priority of their eBoard and enhancing their ability to do so is high on their agenda. It is always an honor to present this type of program to help those who serve others in taking caring of their own.
